Nelson Jenig is a 26-year old blogger and therapist, born and raised in the Midwest. She is currently works for Patchwork Therapy in Elmhurst as a Staff Therapist. She graduated with her Master’s in Social Work (MSW) in May 2021.  She graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Industrial Engineering and a minor in Psychology in 2018  and quickly learned that was NOT the path for her; hence, the MSW.

She started journaling about seven years ago, as a way to deal with her daily struggles and thoughts.  With the death of her twin sister, she decided to publicly journal to help others and show that no one is alone in the struggles of life.  She hopes that her life experiences could possibly help others.

The name of her blog is “One Half of Another” because with the loss of a loved one, it can feel as if you have lost a part of yourself. In her case, she lost her twin sister; therefore, her other half has been lost.  Click the link for her full explanation: One Half of Another

The topics she writes about range from grief to faith to life advice to random observations.  Overall, this is a place for her to begin to understand her grief and how to survive in this crazy world with life’s ups and downs.

Please enjoy, and thank you for the constant love & support ❤

Subscribe, as she will be posting often!

This blog is devoted to my sister, Ryane. She constantly made other people feel loved and truly accepted for who they are. I want to continue to spread this message through these posts and my actions.  Because she truly brightened the world with everything she did.
